Many people in India are facing problem with Facebook payment method not working in India.
It shows The card type you’ve entered isn’t supported. Try a different card.
I was also facing the same issue for a long time.
Whenever I try to add a payment method on my Facebook ad account, an error shows up like this:
The error says, “This payment method is not currently supported. Please enter a different method.”
I even tried three other debit cards to solve this problem, but none of them worked.
The reason behind this error is that Facebook India is currently accepting only International debit cards and credit cards. So,
if you are using a simple SBI debit card, like me, you will also get this problem.
So in this article, we will discuss the reason behind this problem and how to solve it.
What causes this problem?
Facebook has two methods of payment: automatic and manual.
The automatic Facebook payment method, which is also the default payment method, is like a post-paid service.
You have to pay after Facebook generates a bill only. For instance, Facebook India charges you only when you spend 1000 Rs. on Facebook ads.
For charging this amount, Facebook will automatically deduct the money from the debit card and credit card you have added as a payment method.
The problem is most of the banks in India does not allow automatic payments for security reasons. So to solve this issue, Facebook came up with manual payments.
The Manual Facebook payment method works like a prepaid service. You can manually add credit to your Facebook account using any debit card or credit card.
The manual process solves all the problems because most people can get Facebook ad credit, just like buying anything online.
The manual payment method also accepts a variety of payment methods (here is the list of all accepted facebook payment methods).
In the next section, I will show you an alternative way to add money to your Facebook ads manager in India.

1. To solve this problem, you have to use the mobile version of the Facebook ads manager because you cannot solve it on a desktop.
So, install Facebook ads app on your mobile by using these links:

After installing the app, follow these steps:
Open the app, select your ad account if you haven’t already and go to settings.
2. Under the “Billing” section, go to “Payment Methods.”
3. Here enter the amount of money you want to add to your ad account.
4. Click on the payment method to choose your desired payment method.
Here there will be more options available. You can choose a credit card, debit card, UPI, Net banking, and Paytm.
After adding the money, it will appear as prepaid balance in your ad account like this:
Also, by doing this, your account will automatically switch to manual payments, and you can make manual payments in the future directly from your desktop.
However, if you have already made an automatic payment, you cannot switch to manual payments.
You will get this error if you have an automatic payment account.
In that case, you have to create a new ad account and follow the steps I have discussed in this article.
